Chicago with Mom and Dad

We spent a day in Chicago with Nathan to do some sightseeing and visit the special Harry Potter exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry. We saw original artifacts used in the Harry Potter films- as you can see the FLYING CAR! Lots of fun in the city.

Grandma caught a big one

And the winner is..... Grandma!!! It's one we had to throw back but it definitely was the biggest. That mouth was really big and a little scary- Nathan kept his distance and could NOT be coaxed into touching it!

Alayna's Baptism

On this past Sunday we welcomed Alayna Marie into the Catholic Church with her Baptism. We are so grateful to our good friends, Neil and LeAnne Brown for their role in our lives and receiving the gift of being Alayna's Godparents. She was so good for the christening and didn't cry when the Holy Water was poured over her. A nice reception followed to welcome her into the church community. A day we will always cherish.

Sweet Baby

Alayna at 5 months old. She is such a happy baby and we absolutely love her to pieces. She is working on growing some hair but it is going VERY slowly!

At your own risk!

This is what you get at our house when you fall asleep in the family room!!!

Precious, precious

Alayna at 4 months old

On the lake

When it starts to get hot we all go to the water! Grandpa sprung for a pontoon boat this spring and Nathan just HAD TO GO tubing! Great fun!

COOL PICTURE

Supporters of the Special Olympics

The C-ville Police Department carries the torch through town for kick-off of the Annual Special Olympic Games. There is our very own!

Summertime fun

Summertime means outdoor fun! Nathan is slugging away with coach-pitch baseball. Watching these little guys (and girls) learn is so entertaining. Our Astros are doing great and having fun.

Just hanging out......

The Great Wolf Lodge

A few days away was exactly what we needed..... and an indoor waterpark was perfect. We had a great time! We loved the slides, wave pool, and water features. Even Laynee was in the water! And Nate enjoyed an interactive Quest Game that took him all over the lodge in search of magical things.

Big Baby

Whoops. Not a good place to fall asleep when you have a mom always armed with her camera! This will haunt him when he is older :)

That time of year......

It's the most wonderful time of the year...... Mushroom season. and we enjoyed a feast but only because Grandma has a keen eye and is the "best cooker all the way to Alaska!"

Easter

Easter was a litte cold but we still enjoyed an egg hunt at Gram's house and church on Easter morning!

Honey Barbecue

This is a big pig. This big pig was handpicked for the taste and delight of those at the latest Neville Hogroast. BUT before that, it was used for the entertainment of others.......

More pictures of our sweet, sweet girl! Her first big smile, with Daddy and Uncle Mark, her welcome cake (at work) and sleeping like a little angel. We love her soo much!
